In principle, the levels have become more spacious and interesting, but two places in the game are special. The first is a mission in Lubyanka, similar to games such as Hitman and Dishonored. They plant evidence, smash computers, solve secure codes, hide soulless bodies in closets – and all this in order to somehow distract themselves.

From a technical perspective, the Black Ops Cold War campaign is a minor miracle: the developers managed to release one of the most technically impressive story campaigns of 2020 in audio and animation recordings at home on eight platforms. Cold War should be recommended above all to those who are interested in the “stories” of the previous parts or want to appreciate the capabilities of the new 4K TV Raven console, which has experienced a magnificent adventure for two nights. The quiet spy missions in the Soviet Union and Berlin are especially good. Yes, Black Ops is a little toy-like and a little less cinematic than Modern Warfare 2019, but I can’t say that last year’s game benefited from the serious tone and ultra-realism.
